The chief executive officer of Magma Devs, Tal Bar David oversees a blockchain infrastructure company based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Tal Bar David manages its strategic rebuild and oversees Smart Router product direction, operations, and partnerships. Smart Router routes, validates, and observes remote procedure call traffic across more than 100 chains.
His career has evolved from tax and legal work to leadership in the technology sector. After his military service as a fitness combat officer from 2005 to 2009, he studied at Reichman University from 2011 to 2015. He earned a bachelor of laws and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an accounting focus. He then completed a legal internship in Shibolet & Co.’s tax department. From 2017 to 2021, he worked at Ernst & Young in Tel Aviv, becoming a manager in the U.S. tax department.
In 2021, Tal Bar David co-founded Complyt. He served as its chief executive officer until 2025. The sales tax automation company grew to 30 employees and was acquired by VAT IT. In 2025, he became the CEO of Magma Devs. He is also a certified public accountant and licensed advocate.
